DANVILLE —
Marvin and Imogene Collom of Danville celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a family celebration at their home on Sat. Jan. 28, 2012. The event was hosted by their daughters.
Marvin Collom and Imogene Tuggle were married on Jan. 30, 1942 at the home of Rev. Hollingsworth in Georgetown. The Rev. Minnie Hollingsworth performed the ceremony.
Marvin worked at Beard Ice and Borden’s Milk. Imogene worked at Kresge’s store and babysat.
The couple has two daughters, Judy Corbin of Normal and Darla (Bob) Sparrow of Orlando, Fla.
They also have seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
