Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Barton Sr. of Westville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, with an open house from 2-6 p.m. at the Westville American Legion. The open house is being given by their children and grandchildren. They would like to welcome all family and friends to join them in honoring the couple as they celebrate their 50th anniversary.
The Bartons were married on Jan. 4, 1958, by the Rev. John Tigner at the First Church of Christ in Georgetown and again by the Rev. John Pauskas at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Westville.
Mr. Barton has been retired for seven years from Lauhoff Grain Co. after working 38 years and Mrs. Barton has been employed as a school bus driver for 38 years in the Westville school district.
The couple has two sons, Edwin Jr. (Candy) of Westville and Timothy (Ronda) of Perrysville, Ind., and four grandchildren, Linda (John) Atwood and Lucas Barton, both of Westville, Amber (Aaron) Kennedy of North Carolina and T.J. Barton of Danville; one step-granddaughter, Chelsea Dixon of Perrysville; and a special grandnephew, Alan Rivers of Tilton.
Their family is the light of their lives.
