Virgil and Delores Sheets of Tilton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an Alaskan cruise and land tour.

They were married Aug. 18, 1962, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Westville by Father Siesel.

Mr. Sheets retired from CSX Railroad after 43 years of service. He has also been a Tilton village trustee for 17 years.

Mrs. Sheets retired from School District 118 after many years. She currently works for Catlin School.

The couple has two children, Virgil Sheets Jr. of Tilton and Christine (Mike) Jaruseski of Danville.

They have four grandchildren, Ashley and Kelsey Sheets of Bismarck and Robbie and Ryan Jaruseski of Danville.
