Wayne and Margie Birge of Danville will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 28, 2012, at Vermilion Heights Christian Church, 725 Oakwood Ave. in Danville. The event is hosted by their children.

Wayne Birge and Margie Pashe were married Nov. 1, 1952, at Vermilion Heights Christian Church in Danville by the Rev. D. Wayne McFarland.

Wayne worked at N.C.R. for 37 years before his retirement. Margie worked as a legal secretary after her children were grown.

The couple has four children, Dr. Ken (Vicky) Birge of Bloomington, Steve Birge of Lesterville, Mo., Randy (Sandy) Birge of East Peoria and Jenny (Gary) Day of Danville. They also have eight grandchildren, Chris, Jessica, Tony, Alyssa and Emily Birge, and Wesley, Mitchell and Sarah Day.

The couple requests no gifts.
