— Jack and Wilma (Cronkhite) Thomas will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary. They were married Nov. 1, 1947, in Danville.

They are members of the First Presbyterian Church.

Jack enlisted in the Army in September 1942 and served for 40 months, discharged in January 1946. He worked for the C&EI Railroad before beginning his 33-year career at ESCO Corp. He worked in the sales and production control departments, retiring in December 1982.

Wilma owned her own beauty shop for many years. She began her ESCO career of 20 years in 1962, working in the engineering department. She retired in August 1982.

The couple has three children, Richard Thomas (deceased), Carol Bornhorst of Chester, Calif., and Vickie Thomas of San Diego, Calif.

They have five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, with the eighth arriving in November, and one great-great-grandson.
