Raiders of the Lost Football

DANVILLE — A struggle was had by both the Bloomington Purple Raiders and the Danville High Vikings at the game Friday, Sept. 9.

The Vikings brought home a win of 28-7, making their season 3-0 thus far.

In the second quarter, The Raider’s defensive line failed letting No. 2 Dennis Hightower, Viking quarterback, throw to make the first down. The Raiders went into their locker room at half time with 0-7 on the scoreboard.

A BHS student and Raider’s fan said, “I don’t know what is going on with our team. I did not think we were going to play like this today.”

The Vikings maintained their position of 20-0 until the third quarter when the Raiders scored a touchdown and Hightower was injured.

Without him, Danville scored another touchdown for a final score of 28-7.
