DANVILLE — Tips for filling out job applications:

Read EVERYTHING

Check requirements

Be honest

Talk about qualities as potential employee

Check your spelling and grammar

Have someone else check for errors

Turn it in on time!

Students should know that to find a job you have to be dependable, honest, hard-working and willing to learn. Remember finding a job is up to you. You have to put in the effort and time. You do not just get handed a job.

You have to seek out employment and make a good impression to get hired.

The application process can be both time-consuming and intimidating. Don’t get overwhelmed.

Filling out a job application doesn’t guarantee you the job. This is necessary paperwork that gets you one step closer to earning your first paycheck.
