DANVILLE —  

Mrs. Nancy Mettam of Danville and Mr. John Shinn of Danville announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie O’Dea Shinn, to Joseph C. Gaydos Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gaydos Sr. of Memphis, Tenn.

The future bride, who lives in Springfield, graduated from Schlarman High School in 2004, from Indiana University in 2008, and from Southern Illinois School of Medicine in 2012. She will be starting residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston.

The future groom of Champaign graduated from Bartlett High School in Memphis in 2003 and Christian Brothers University in Memphis in 2007. He is in medical device sales for Wright Medical Technologies Inc. in Champaign.

The couple will be married at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Champaign on June 9, 2012.
