Steve and Angie Sinkes of Westville announce the engagement of their son, Stephen Sinkes, to Rebecca Stephens of Streamwood. She is the daughter of Charles Stephens Jr. of Carpentersville and Deane Hutchison of Mattoon.

The couple plans a Nov. 3, 2012, wedding at Southside Church of Christ in Danville.

Rebecca is a 2007 graduate of Streamwood High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in molecular and cellular biology. She is employed at Carle Foundation Hospital.

Stephen is a 2006 graduate of Westville High School and a veteran of the United States Army. He is employed at Towne Machine Tool Co. and is attending Danville Area Community College for an associate’s degree in manufacturing engineering technology.
