Hoopeston honored its citizens during a special event at Ira Owen Kreager American Legion Post 384 Monday evening.
The Hoopeston Jaycee Chapter and the Chamber of Commerce recognized those citizens in chapter, local businesses and exemplery service areas in Hoopeston. Honored were:

Hoopeston Area School Board members approved a greenhouse financial agreement Thursday with the Hoopeston Area Future Farmers of America to construct a greenhouse agriculture department at the high school.
