DANVILLE — March 7 — 5:30-8 p.m., Parents Involved for Excellence (PIE) is coordinating a Family Resource Night at Hoopeston Area Middle School. Open to all, the event will feature a schedule of breakout sessions and a community resource fair. Food and childcare/activities also will be provided. Bus service will be available to students/families in Rankin, East Lynn, Rossville and Wellington.
March 8 — 11:30 a.m., Barbara Standish Chapter will meet at Fast Lanes Bowling Alley. Guest speaker Ruth Neathery, vice president, will speak on Native Americans.
March 9 and 10 — WHPO Business Expo, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and noon-3 p.m. Sunday at Hoopeston Civil Center in McFerren Park.
March 16 — 6 a.m.-noon, Ira Owen Kreager American Legion Pancake/Sausage/Egg Day at the American Legion Post 384.
March 18 — 6:30 p.m., Hoopeston Historical Society meeting at the library. Guest speaker Jan Haggerty with give a presentation on the Hatfields and McCoys.
March 19 — 7 p.m., Hoopeston City council meeting, City Hall, 301 W. Main St.
March 21 — 6:30 p.m., Hoopeston School Board in the high school library.
