The Christian Church in Danville was the setting for the Aug. 11, 2007, wedding of Katlyn Marie Stark and Iyan Deon Smith. The Rev. Don Vanzant performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Bruce and Becky Stark of Danville and the granddaughter of Ron and Janet Brown of Sidell. She is a 2003 graduate of Danville High School and a 2006 graduate of Danville Cosmetology College. She works in Indianapolis.
The groom is the son of Sheree Itza of Indianapolis and Ivan Smith of Danville and the grandson of Marie Smith of Danville. He is a 2003 graduate of Danville High School and attends IUPUI in Indianapolis. He works for Verizon Wireless in Zionsville.
Maid of honor was Nicole Radloff, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sara Jo Brown of Chicago, cousin of the bride, and Megan Wernigk, Megan Stucker and Kyla Lazell, all of Danville and friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Samantha Wesner of Danville, friend of the couple. Flower girl was Emma Huddelson of Lafayette, Ind., cousin of the bride.
Best man was Rovion Reed of Danville, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Cole Stark of Danville, brother of the bride, and Phil Shaw, Ricky Alvarez and Ray Alvarez, all of Danville and friends of the groom. Junior groomsman was Chase Smith of Danville, brother of the groom. Ring bearer was Brandon McCray of Danville, cousin of the groom.
Ushers were Jake Jurzcak and Travis Jaggers of Danville, friends of the bride; Shane Huerta of Danville, cousin of the groom; and Ryan Welty of Cloverdale, Ind., friend of the couple.
Soloist was Amber Tabels of Danville, friend of the bride.
The bride’s dress was an Oleg Cassini-created champagne strapless beaded metallic embroidered gown with satin pickup skirt and contrasting sash detail with a matching fingertip and chapel length train. Her tiara and jewelry were made of Swarovski crystals and matched the detailing of her gown.
A dinner and dance reception was held at Turtle Run Golf and Banquet Center in Danville.
After a cruise to the Bahamas, the couple resides in Indianapolis.
