I just read Champaign County Board Member Alan Nudo supports a casino in Danville. What he didn’t say, but what he has been telling people is Senate Republican Leader Christine Radogno from Chicago has promised him $500,000 to run for the Senate.
He also doesn’t mention that his patron was the only person to stand up and speak against the Danville casino. I would hope that if Nudo really supports a casino for Danville, he would call on his funder to support the casino as well.
If she continues to try to undermine our hope for some much-needed jobs and revenue, I would hope that he would reject her support.
Anything short of that shows he has more interest in his Chicago supporters than he does the people of Vermilion County.
