DEFIANCE, Ohio — Editor:

I watched a ESPN “Outside the Lines” special about gambling on youth football games in Florida. I could not help but notice everyone caught gambling on camera was a minority male.

If I were just dropped off in America from Uranus, I would think the following on Florida youth football gambling: Only minority males watch Florida youth football or that white men or women don’t watch Florida youth football.

The moderator of this special said the people arrested for gambling was a very small portion of those watching games.

I can only assume that ESPN wants its viewers to believe that “very small portion” of gamblers is minority male.
