Well, this last week was the first week of garbage pick-up for us without being able to recycle. We had six full bags of trash. With three children and two adults, we have a lot of trash.
What is so disheartening is that we went from having two bags of trash every week for the past 18 years to six in the blink of an eye. This is a huge mistake to take the recycling away. Even if the communities charge, it doesn’t even apply to me because I live in the country.
There are people out there who would not put a price on trying to fix what we as human beings do to this earth. There has to be recycling. Telling some of us we can still recycle some things at various places will never work. I don’t want to drive to three different places when I recycle. I just want the recycling back. That is all!
We need to be able to recycle plastic, glass and cans that are not biodegradable. What do we need to do to fix this? I am ready to hear it.
No, I can’t just hand over thousands of dollars, if I could I would, that is how much this means to me and my children and their future, but maybe they can make sacrifices in some other places to help pay for this for a while longer while they figure this out.
Out of everything we have in the Danville area this is right up there in the top five most important things we need in my opinion. Bring recycling back, please.
