Personal actions have consequences

Editor:

Modern technology and sincere acknowledgement of God in our society will correct any problems we face. Mankind chooses to rely solely on intelligence alone to set our moral standards, which has become our downfall. Our government officials are afraid to declare their reliance on God as a source of strength and wisdom.

Who would think just a few years ago that same sex marriage would be a major debate today? A recent

column by Mary Sanchez

in the Commercial-News, “When preaching goes too far,” said we’re lucky our Constitution trumps Leviticus. The book of the Bible has Scriptures that strongly oppose homosexuality. You might be able to trump the rules of God in your personal life, but you won’t be able to avoid the consequences of violating his word.

No organization operates without rules. Likewise, God has left his ordained word to live by. Some say there are many interpretations. I see only one.

There are many arguments concerning what is right and what is wrong. In my experience, people who really seek the truth find it. I wouldn’t rely on my personal feelings with the consequences of eternal damnation before me.

Just think if the gay community would isolate itself for two or three generations. It would cease to exist. That alone should constrain us to acknowledge the divine path for mankind. If you fall under the category of gay, lesbian, etc., seek Jesus for understanding. He loves all mankind, but he doesn’t love their rebellious actions.
