Editor:
I don’t know who the state inspectors were who looked at nursing homes in the Danville area, but they sure didn’t do right by Vermilion Manor Nursing Home.
I have been at Vermilion Manor eight hours a day for a year, and I’ve never seen anybody neglected.
My wife has Alzheimer’s, and the certified nursing assistants take excellent care of everybody. The residents always have good, balanced diets and are bathed and cleaned every day. The placed is scrubbed every day.
The residents are entertained with activities, and the staff love and care for them better than their own families do.
There is no way the inspectors can give correct reports on the establishment, the supervisors and the care of residents in just a few hours. In my opinion, Vermilion Manor should be rated at the top with the best of the state’s nursing homes.
