Hearts and darts

DANVILLE — Here are some of the good things readers noticed around the area recently:

Polyclinic Medical Equipment and Pharmacy sends hearts to those who helped as it hosted a breast cancer awareness event on Oct. 19. “We remain dedicated to educating and empowering women to take charge of their own breast health. We’s like to give a special thanks to the following companies for their wonderful contributions: Berry’s Garden Center for donating 24 pink roses; Royal Donut; Lee’s Famous Recipe; Jocko’s; Family Video; La Potasina; and Little Caesars.Their donations made our event a success, and we’re extremely grateful for their generosity.”

Edythe Hathaway of Danville sends hearts “to all my family and friends for making my 100th birthday so special. It is because of all your love and support that I have made it this long.

“And, a special thank you to Nathan and Lisa Campbell for hosting. Also, thank you to Darleen, Jessica, Ida May, and Sue Ellen for traveling so far to share my special day. Lastly, thank you to Shirley Smoot for everything you do for me.”
