Wishes for the U.S.

TILTON — Editor:

These are my New Year’s resolutions:

I hope the people who sent our jobs overseas don’t get re-elected. (These jobs are gone.)

I hope the folks who vote themselves raises Christmas Eve don’t get re-elected.

I hope the border problem is fixed. Go back to the laws on the books. It has worked well.

I hope the Congress stops dipping into our Social Security funds. It’s not their money.

Pass a strong law against lobbying.

Make the candidates keep their campaign promises.

Stop getting the United States involved in foreign affairs.

I hope we can elect people with common horse sense.

Stop worrying about people using prayer in schools. If you don’t want to pray, keep quiet.

This is the United States. If you don’t like it, get out.

I realize this is a pipe dream, but it would be nice and good for the United States.
