DANVILLE — Here’s a look at recent law enforcement calls:

Incidents reported to police include:

Danville

Tuesday:

Theft of $1,000 in the 2500 block of North Vermilion Street.

Wednesday:

Theft in the 1200 block of North Bowman Avenue.

Theft at Walgreens, 842 E. Main St.

Theft at Mach One, 510 N. Gilbert St.

Thursday:

Theft of $375 in the 600 block of West Harrison Street.

Possession of cannabis in the 1100 block of Industrial.

Battery in the 900 block of Redden Court.

Criminal damage and burglary in the 800 block of North Logan.

Possession of a controlled substance at Griffin and Fairchild streets.

Medical assistance in the 400 block of West Winter Street.

Criminal trespass to vehicle at Tractor Supply, 3600 N. Vermilion St.

Assault and disorderly conduct in the 1000 block of Koehn.

Domestic battery in the 600 block of Bryan.

Burglary to auto in the 1200 block of Lakeridge Court. A briefcase containing a laptop computer and checks was taken.

Theft in the 500 block of West Main Street.

Friday:

Theft in the 1200 block of North Bowman Avenue.

Domestic battery and interference with emergency personnel in the 1200 block of Garden Drive.

Disorderly conduct at New Life Church, 1419 N. Bowman Ave.

Vermilion County

Thursday:

Criminal trespass in the 900 block of Route 136, Potomac.

Domestic violence in the 300 block of West 15th Street, Georgetown.

Telephone harassment in the 200 block of Stone, Georgetown.

Criminal damage to property in the 400 block of East 11th Street, Georgetown.

Theft from vehicle in the unit block of Patty Drive, Oakwood.

Criminal trespass in the 12000 block of 2000N Road, Danville.

Friday:

Criminal damage in the 400 block of 3400N Road, Ellis.

Thursday, 7:12-7:29 p.m. — A car fire at 4101 N. Vermilion St.

Thursday, 7:18-7:23 p.m. — A medical call in the 1100 block of Walnut Street.

Thursday, 7:34-7:41 p.m. — Investigation at 2205 Cannon St.

Thursday, 7:52-8:00 p.m. — Illegal burning at 2606 Cannon St.

    Ron Colson attended his first Indianapolis 500 when he was 7 years old. That was 66 years ago. He’s missed only one of the Memorial Day weekend classics since then, and that was in 1950 when he had the mumps. He grudgingly handed his prized ticket over to his uncle that year. Luckily for the 10-year-old, it was one of the few early years when the race was televised, and the family friends who owned Crane’s TV Shop in Hillsboro, Ind., invited him to come watch it with them.
