Warehouse burns in morning fire

DANVILLE — Firefighters from six departments responded to  a warehouse fire at Bryant’s Auto Parts and Recycling this morning.

The fire was reported at 10 a.m. at the Bryant’s location at 1406 Warrington Ave. The older building — located to the side of Bryant’s U-Pull junk yard — was reported as fully involved, according to radio communications.

Kickapoo and Lynch fire protection districts were called to the scene with Oakwood, Bismark and later FMC district called for tanker truck support as well. Tilton was requested for manpower assistance at the scene.

The Vermilion County Haz Mat  team was contacted at 10:45 a.m. and ordered out to the scene as well.
