GEORGETOWN —
Georgetown Public Library will host Donna Schaul, consultant with Illinois Heartland Library System, for an overview on how to use an e-reader to get books from the local library.
She make her presentation at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 16 at the library, 102 W. West St. Attendees can bring their device and learn about how to download free books from the local library system.
The presentation is free to the public. Interested parties should still register in advance at 662-2164.

Firefighters from at least five departments battle a blaze today at a tire business on Hoopeston's south side. Areas around the scene were evacuated due to the dense smoke the fire created. No injuries had been reported as of 7:30 a.m.
