Art show entry open

DANVILLE — Danville Art League has entry forms available for the Sharon Schmitz Regional Open Art Competition and the Town & Country Amateur Art Show.

Those interested can find the forms on the Art League’s website or at the studio, 320 N Franklin St.

The shows will take place from March 5-27 at the Art League. Call 442-9264 for more information.

  • Georgetown council to sell water to coal mine

    What the village of Homer was unwilling to do, the city of Georgetown has agreed to do. Specifically, city council members approved a contract Monday with Sunrise Coal LLC of Terre Haute to provide, initially, 300,000 gallons of production water a day. After the mine is up and running, the city could boost that supply to 500,000 gallons of water a day.
