GEORGETOWN —
Georgetown-Ridge Farm Unit 4 School District is rounding up kindergarteners for the 2013-2014 school year. Children must be 5 years old by Sept. 1 to be admitted to kindergarten.
Registration will take place during school hours April 8-11 at Pine Crest Elementary School. If this is not convenient, call the school at 662-6981.
Parents should bring their child’s immunization records and a certified copy of their birth certificate.
School law requires that all kindergarteners have a physical exam including lead screen and diabetic screen, a dental exam and an eye exam.
A health card will be given to parents the day of registration for the doctor to complete. Students will not be able to attend school until all medical requirements are complete.
Kindergarten screening will be the following week, April 15-19. Parents should remember to make an appointment when registering their child.
