VEEDERSBURG, Ind. — Students at Fountain Central Junior-Senior High School were evacuated from school for a couple of hours Wednesday after a teacher found graffiti in a boys restroom that indicated a bomb would go off Wednesday afternoon.
Superintendent Corey Austin said the teacher notified the principals, who contacted him and the Fountain County’s Sheriff’s Department. A team of bomb-sniffing dogs were brought in from Tippecanoe County to investigate, and the building was declared safe.
Parents were notified through the school’s emergency call network.
Students, who had been evacuated to the football field, returned to the building for their last class of the day.
