DANVILLE — The computer classes are:
-- Computer Basics, for the beginner computer user. The first class is from 9 a.m. to noon February 15 and 16; second session is from 9 a.m. to noon March 8 and 9. Cost of either class, $30. The lab computers run Windows XP, but Vista will be discussed.
-- Computer Maintenance, designed to teach a person how to care for, personalize, and keep a computer running smoothly. Choose either Feb. 17 or March 10, from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost is $15. The lab computers run Windows XP, but Vista will be discussed.
-- Intermediate Computers I, for the person who is already comfortable using the computer and wants to “go online” and “do” e-mail. From 9 a.m. to noon March 1 and 2. Cost is $30.
-- Intermediate Computers II, for the competent computer user who wants to become more familiar with the Internet. From 9 a.m. to noon March 15 and 16. Cost is $30.
-- Wandering Through Microsoft Word, for the competent computer users who need to become more comfortable with Microsoft Word. From 9 a.m. to noon March 22 and 23. Cost is $30.
-- Digital Photography and Your Computer will be offered twice. First session, Feb. 20 and 27; second session, March 20 and 27, from 9 until noon on both days. Cost is $30.
-- Preserve Your Memories, learn how to place your photos into folders and then burn them to a CD/DVD disk. From 9 a.m. to noon March 5 and 6. (If you have a laptop with CD or DVD burner capabilities, bring it with you to class.) Cost is $30.
-- Microsoft Excel, a beginner’s class in Excel. From 9 a.m. to noon March 29 and 30. Cost, $30.
Classes are held at the U of I Extension Office, 12190 U.S. Route 150, Oakwood (at the west end of Danville, near the entrance/exit to I-74). To register, call 442-8615. A spot in the class is not guaranteed until payment is received. Class fees are non-refundable.
