HOOPESTON —
The Hoopeston Public Library will give patrons the opportunity to pay off their library fines during the annual Food for Fines drive.
Throughout December, the library will accept canned goods and non-perishable food items within their expiration dates as well as packaged household paper products in payment of library fines. Each item or package donated will be worth $1 toward library fines. Some single items or packages may not qualify.
Donations are good for overdue material fines only. They cannot go toward the cost of lost items or other library fees.
All items received will be donated to the Grant Township Food Cupboard. To learn more, call the library at 283-6711.
