No one was injured Tuesday after a robbery suspect fired a gun during a late night holdup.
Danville Police Deputy Director Doug Miller said a woman, her friend, three children and her boyfriend were at the apartment in the 1600 block of Beechwood Street at the time of the robbery.
Miller said the boyfriend left the apartment, and when he returned around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday one of two men standing out in the hallway followed him inside. The suspect pulled out a handgun and fired off one round in the apartment.
The man then pointed the gun at the boyfriend and demanded money. The boyfriend handed over $5.
The armed suspect was then joined by the other man he had been standing with in the hallway and both men left the apartment.
The robbery was reported the next day by the residents.
Miller said both suspects were described as black males around 16 or 17 years old, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall with slim builds. The armed suspect had black hair with braids and was wearing a dark blue hooded jacket with writing on it.
The second suspect was wearing a green plaid shirt or jacket and a white baseball hat with writing on the front of it.
