HOOPESTON —
The Hoopeston Public Library has used its archival documents to celebrate the town of East Lynn in the library’s Reading Room display case.
The arrangement provides articles, a vintage map, yearbooks and a brief history.
The town, founded in 1872, is one of the few villages in the United States that is named after both and novel and a play, “East Lynne.” The library offers the display as a tribute to the many towns that are a part of the District.
