DANVILLE —
The city is sponsoring another landlord/tenant workshop.
The workshop will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday at city hall, 17 W. Main St.
The City of Danville Human Relations Commission is sponsoring the workshop.
The workshop will cover: landlord rights and obligations; tenant rights and obligations; and eviction procedures.
Presenter will be John Roska, attorney, Land of Lincoln.
The workshop also will cover: Fair Housing Information for Landlords and Tenants with presenter Amber Madden, Illinois Department of Human Rights, Fair Housing Division.
In addition, presenter John Heckler, Danville Public Development Director, will talk about code enforcement issues and how to file a code enforcement complaint.
The workshop is aimed to benefit lawyers, landlords, tenants, potential homeowners, Realtors or anyone who is interested in learning about landlord/tenant issues in reference to eviction procedures, rights and obligations, code enforcement and fair housing (identifying and/or eliminating discriminatory practices in housing).
The workshop is free, and it is open to the public.
