SIDELL —
An ice cream and homemade pie social will be from 3:30-6 p.m. Sunday at the park under the water tower in Sidell.
A free concert will be provided by Trouble and Company, a three-man group singing 1950s-’60s rock-n-roll and country rock. A wide variety of homemade pies will be sold along with ice cream and drinks.
A raffle drawing will be conducted for a handmade Christmas quilt, gas cards and merchant prizes. Tickets are $1 or 6 for $5 and will be for sale that day, or can be purchased by mailing to SCHS, P.O. Box 134, Sidell, IL 61876.
Bring lawn chairs. In case of rain, event will be moved to the Baptist church one block away.
The event is sponsored by Sidell Community Historical Society with funds going toward the society’s general fund. For more information, contact Rinda Maddox, society president, at 288-9365.
