Tuesday:
Battery in the 300 block of North Vermilion Stret.
Theft at Smart Style, 4101 N. Vermilion St.
Burglary in the 3500 block of Cambridge Court.
Theft in the 1300 block of North Walnut Street.
A woman arrested for retail theft at Walgreens, 842 E. Main St.
A woman arrested for disorderly conduct in the 2700 block of Townway Street.
Wednesday:
A woman arrested for obstructing justice in the 100 block of South Crawford Street.
Vermilion County
Tuesday:
Theft from a vehicle along County Road 1800E, Bismarck.
Domestic battery in the 100 block of South Main Street, Fithian.
A woman arrested at 13th and Grace Streets, Georgetown, for possession of a controlled substance and also bringing a contraband substance into a penal institution.

Tuesday, 7:01 a.m. – On Mann’s Chapel Road near Illinois Route 1 involving Kristy Kruk, 30, of Alvin. She was cited for driving with a suspended license.

Tuesday, 7:03-7:13 p.m. — A car fire at North Vermilion Street and Winter Avenue.
Tuesday, 7:55-8:13 p.m. — A medical call in the first block of Minnesota Avenue.
Wednesday, 4:02-4:16 a.m. — A medical call in the 1500 block of Harmon Avenue.
Wednesday, 5:26-5:40 a.m. — A medical call in the 1800 block of East Main Street.

Spirit of the West
Museum workers run out of adjectives when describing the “Spirit of the West” quilt exhibit, which opens Friday. “It’s mind boggling,” Sue Richer, director of the Vermilion County Museum, said as she admired the quilts. “It amazes me. They’re works of art, the way they’re put together.”
