Incidents reported to police include:

Danville

Saturday:

Battery and medical assistance in the 1700 block of North Bowman Avenue.

Theft of gas at Mobil Super Pantry, 1212 N. Bowman Ave.

Medical assistance in the 100 block of Wisconsin Street.

Possession of cannabis over 500 grams with intent to deliver at Bowman Avenue and Brooks Street.

Theft in the 700 block of Oak Street.

Criminal sexual assault in the 400 block of West Lake Street.

Unlawful use of a weapon in the 100 block of Delaware Street.

Sunday:

Domestic battery in the 500 block of North Beard Street.

Disorderly conduct in the 100 block of North California Street.

Domestic battery and criminal damage in the unit block of South Crawford Street.

Disorderly conduct in the 400 block of West Fairchild Street.

Obstructing a police officer at Buffalo Wild Wings, 3101 N. Vermilion St.

Residential burglary in the 1400 block of North Gilbert Street.

Theft of tires, rims and car stereo in the 1300 block of Knox Drive.

Domestic battery in the 1200 block of Garden Drive.

Medical assistance in the 300 block of Walnut Street.

Monday:

Domestic battery in the 200 block of Delaware Street.

Vermilion County

Friday:

Filing a false report in the 500 block of South Second Street, Hoopeston.

Saturday:

Criminal damage to a vehicle in the 200 block of North Lane, Potomac.

Three reports of residential burglary in the 11000 block of Kickapoo Park Road, Oakwood.

Five reports of criminal damage in the 11000 block of Kickapoo Park Road, Oakwood.

Sunday:

Theft in the 100 block of South Main Street, Rankin.

Criminal damage to auto in the 8000 block of U.S. Route 136.

Criminal trespassing and resisting arrest in the 500 block of South Sixth Street, Hoopeston.

Criminal damage in the 100 block of North Vermilion Street, Potomac.

Domestic battery in the 1700 block of Urbana, Westville.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

Saturday, 10:53 p.m. – On Catlin-Homer Road at County Road 1100E, involving Rachel A. Gonzalez, 18, of the 100 block of North Seymour Street, Oakwood and Dillen J.E. Christiens, 19, of Danville. Gonzalez was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Saturday, 11:58-Sunday, 12:16 a.m. — A medical call in the 1600 block of East Fairchild Street.

Sunday, 5:11-5:27 a.m. — Overheated furnace at 417 Avenue A.

Sunday, 11:22-11:42 p.m. — A medical call in the 2700 block of Townway.

Monday, 1:58-2:21 a.m. — Food on the stove at 101 E. Seminary St.

    Ron Colson attended his first Indianapolis 500 when he was 7 years old. That was 66 years ago. He’s missed only one of the Memorial Day weekend classics since then, and that was in 1950 when he had the mumps. He grudgingly handed his prized ticket over to his uncle that year. Luckily for the 10-year-old, it was one of the few early years when the race was televised, and the family friends who owned Crane’s TV Shop in Hillsboro, Ind., invited him to come watch it with them.
