Lake Vermilion Water Quality Coalition and others are sponsoring a Cover Crop Workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 28 in the Vermilion County Farm Bureau Auditorium at 1905 U.S. Route 150
Lunch will be provided at no charge. The workshop will offer helpful information, research and ideas for using cover crops to improve one’s operation. Topics include: soil health, cover crop basics, local producer experiences, roundtable discussion and more.
Call the Vermilion County Soil and Water Conservation District or Natural Resources Conservation Service at 442-8511, extension 3, to reserve a spot.
Other sponsors include the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service, Vermilion County Soil and Water Conservation District, Lincoln Heritage RC & D and the Vermilion County Farm Bureau.
