VEEDERSBURG, Ind. - A Ridge Farm, Ill., man working on a cellular telephone tower in Fountain County died Tuesday night when he fell from the top of the 150-foot tower.
Fountain County Sheriff's Department officials said Scott D. Henry, 31, was working on the cell tower in the first block of West Bonebrake Road near Veedersburg when he fell.
Police and emergency workers arrived about 6:19 p.m. and discovered Henry's body.
Wallace Hooker, chief deputy with the Fountain County Coroner's office, pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Police said Henry was employed as a professional climber, whose job it was to climb towers to make repairs. It is believed Henry was working to upgrade the tower he fell from Tuesday.
Henry's cause of death remains under investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for today.
Police said because the death is work-related, Occupational Safety and Health Administration officials have been contacted.
