ATTICA, Ind. — A Williamsport man died Thursday at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis from injuries he sustained in a two-vehicle accident earlier in the day.
Dead is George Martin Jr., 78.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Department said Martin was driving a 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass when he attempted to turn onto River Road from U.S. Route 41 around 3:20 p.m. EDT west of Attica. He crossed the path of a 2007 Dodge Dakota pickup driven by James Davis Sr., 71, of Attica.
The truck struck the car in the passenger side.
Martin was taken to St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital and then flown to the Indianapolis hospital.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Indiana State Police, Attica Police and the Fountain County Sheriff’s Department.
