DANVILLE — A man received a minor injury during an armed robbery late Tuesday night.
Police Deputy Director Doug Miller said the victim was walking down the street just before 11 p.m. near the intersection of Seminary and Washington streets when he was jumped by four men, according to his statement to police.
The man was hit in the head and then swung at with a knife, causing an injury to his left groin. He was taken to Provena United Samaritans Medical Center for treatment.
The four men got away with a cellular phone and cash.

ƒÞ $5 in gasoline stolen from Mobil Super Pantry, 1212 N. Bowman Ave.
ƒÞ A woman arrested for battery in the 200 block of Mill Road, Georgetown.
ƒÞ Domestic dispute in the first block of Carter Drive, Oakwood.

ƒÞ Four vehicle burglaries reported in the 300 block of North Walnut Street. A checkbook was stolen from one vehicle and change from another.

ƒÞ Domestic battery reported in the 800 block of Jewell Street.
ƒÞ Window damaged in a vehicle in the 200 block of North Logan Avenue.
ƒÞ Motorcycle trailer stolen in the 500 block of North Oakwood Avenue, Oakwood.
ƒÞ Money and medication stolen in a burglary in the first block of Morin Avenue.

ƒÞ A woman arrested for criminal damage to a vehicle in the 500 block of Warrington Avenue.
ƒÞ A man arrested for criminal trespassing, criminal damage to property and battery along County Road 2240N, Danville.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:
Tuesday, 12:13 p.m. ¡X In the 2700 block of North Vermilion Street involving Daniel Beaver, 24, of Westville, Marilyn Durnell, 63, of Danville .and Norman Huckstadt, 54, of Danville. Beaver was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without proof of insurance. Huckstadt and Durnell were taken to Provena United Samaritans Medical Center where they were treated and released.
