ROUNDUP — Two hurt in wreck near Hoopeston

HOOPESTON — Two people went to the hospital for treatment following an rural accident Monday night west of Hoopeston.

Jacky Grove, 44, of East Lynn and her passenger, Jim Grove, 24, of East Lynn, were taken to Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital following the crash. Their conditions were not released.

Jacky Grove was on Illinois Route 9 just east of County Road 880E when the Oldsmobile she was driving left the roadway. The car traveled almost 100 feet before going over a culvert and field entrance and ending up overturned in a field.

No citations were issued.

A laptop computer, xBox 360 and gold pocket watch stolen in a burglary along County Road 2400N.

Aggravated assault in the 300 block of East 13th Street.

License plate stolen in the 700 block of Sherman Street.

A 1993 Ford Taurus stolen in the 500 block of Ross Lane.

Domestic battery in the 1800 block of Perrysville Road.

Burglary in the 100 block of Delaware Avenue.

Domestic battery in the 800 block of Meyers Street.

Disorderly conduct at English Street and James Street.

A CD player stolen from a vehicle and a tire cut in the 1200 block of North Walnut Street.

Air- conditioning unit stolen in the 500 block of West Madison Street.

Cellular phone stolen in the 300 block of North Walnut Street.

$1,500 in forged checks reported at My Brothers Liquor Store, 1506 E. Main St.

Attempted burglary in the 1200 block of Garden Drive.

Fence damaged at Tractor Supply Co., 3623 N. Vermilion St.

Theft in the 700 block of Oak Street.

Identity theft and forgery reported in the 100 block of Oak Street, Fairmount.

Computer and home theater system stolen in the 1100 block of East Fairchild Street.

Tuesday:

A woman arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 100 block of Illinois Street.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

Saturday, 11:54 a.m. — At Fairchild and Walnut streets involving M. Jean Hale, 48, of the 1000 block of Knollcrest Drive, and Andres Cruz, 48, of Danville. Hale was cited for failure to yield. Hale and a passenger — Candice McNeal, 24, of Danville — were taken to Provena United Samaritans Medical Center where they were treated and released.

Sunday, 4:32 p.m. — At Fairchild Street and Harmon Avenue involving Dawn Tyson, 31, of the 1200 block of Harmon Avenue, and Johnny Hall, 52, of the 1000 block of North Walnut Street. Tyson was cited for failure to yield while Hall was cited for driving without proof of insurance.

Sunday, 1:55 p.m. — At West Voorhees and Franklin streets involving Nancy Combest, 65, of the 1200 block of North Gilbert Street, and JoBrea Mason, 16, of Danville. Combest was cited for failure to yield.

Monday, 11:43-11:52 a.m. — A medical call in the first block of Prairie Street.

Monday, 4:26-4:37 p.m. — A reported illegal burning at 3639 Woolman Road.

Monday, 7:01-7:07 p.m. — A furnace problem reported at 1207 N. Walnut St.

Monday, 8:46-8:54 p.m. — A medical call in the 1100 block of North Jackson Street.

Tuesday, 2:10-2:29 a.m. —A medical call in the 3500 block of North Vermilion Street.
