DANVILLE — Drug enforcement officers confiscated drugs worth several thousand dollars during a bust on Thursday.
Members of the Vermilion Metropolitan Enforcement Group entered the home at 709 Harmon Ave. just after 8 a.m. Thursday, according to VMEG director Steve Guess.
Inside the home, officers discovered almost three pounds of marijuana with a street value of $10,000, Guess said.
One man was arrested as a result of the bust: Kenneth O’Banion Sr., 44, of 709 Harmon Ave. He was booked at the Public Safety Building on charges of possession of 500-2,500 grams of cannabis and delivery of 500-2,500 grams of cannabis. His bond was not immediately set.
Guess said several other people in the home were taken into custody for questioning and subsequently released.
Guess said the arrest and confiscated marijuana are the result of a month-long investigation.
