The Vermilion County Intergovernmental Council’s 2009 capital projects list for federal stimulus funding consideration includes the city’s projects, but also:
-- Right-of-way acquisition to Fithian Farms site — $100,000 (multiple jurisdictions along path to site).
-- Lyons Road reconstruction and connection to Indianola Road — cost to be determined.
-- Ross Lane (County Road 1500N) extension to Catlin-Tilton Road — cost to be determined.
-- Bismarck sanitary sewer project — $3.5 million (public health and growth issue).
-- Hoopeston Industrial Park expansion — $50,000 (growth issue).
-- Village of Oakwood water system upgrade — $1.5 million (public health, safety and growth).
-- Village of Catlin playground upgrade for handicapped — $40,000.
-- Redesign of I-74/Route 1 interchange and redesign of Route 1/14th Street Junction.
-- Denmark Road resurfacing, widening.
