DANVILLE — In celebration of Community Action Month, East Central Illinois Community Action Agency will host a Community Action Day Celebration from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Temple Plaza.
This event is free to the public.
East Central Illinois Community Action Agency provides services to families and individuals within Ford, Iroquois and Vermilion counties. Services include Head Start, Low-Income home energy assistance Program (LIHEAP), Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program, Ameren rate relief, scholarships emergency cash, Educational Talent Search, ComEd rate relief and Community Services Block Grant services.
During the Community Action Day Celebration, eligible customers can enroll for weatherization or Head Start services, receive a free lunch, have their face painted and register for prize drawings .
The public is invited to attend the Community Action Day Celebration and learn more about the community action movement.
