DANVILLE — The Danville Lions Club will conduct its annual Candy Day fundraiser this coming weekend. Lions will be at County Market Town Centre and North from 1-8 p.m. Friday. They will be at County Market Town Centre and North from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Proceeds help the Lions in assisting the vision-impaired.

Fire hits Hoopeston tire business
Firefighters from at least five departments battle a blaze today at a tire business on Hoopeston's south side. Areas around the scene were evacuated due to the dense smoke the fire created. No injuries had been reported as of 7:30 a.m.

Hoopeston council goes after unpaid bills
