DANVILLE — Here’s a look at recent law enforcement calls:

Danville

Tuesday:

Theft in the 500 block of North Kimball Street.

Burglary in the 600 block of North Kimball Street.

A man arrested for disorderly conduct in the 1100 block of East Voorhees Street.

A man arrested for possession of pseudoephedrines in the 600 block of East Fairchild Street.

A report of sexual abuse at the Sleep Inn, 361 Lynch Road.

Burglary and property damage in the 200 block of Delaware Avenue.

Wednesday

Possession of drug paraphernalia at Madison and New York streets.

Vermilion County

Tuesday:

Attempted theft by deception in the 23800 block of Illinois Route 1.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

Tuesday, 11:08 a.m. — At Gilbert and Williams streets involving Carrie Cunningham, 31, of the first block of Julianna Drive, and Jerrald Hawkeer, 56, of the 200 block of Danville. Cunningham was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Firefighters responded to the following calls:

Tuesday, 8:47-9 a.m. — A medical call in the 300 block of Hazel Street.

Tuesday, 8:51-9:01 a.m. — An alarm malfunction at 1019 Cypress St.

Tuesday, 1:05-1:31 p.m. — An overheated motor at 8 Lake Shore Court.

Tuesday, 3:28-3:41 p.m. — A person stuck in an elevator at 1320 N. Vermilion St.

Tuesday, 9:48-10:05 p.m. — A medical call in the 100 block of Kentucky Avenue.

Covington council considers website proposal
City clerk/treasurer Debby Gurley said Monday PayGov of Indianapolis has offered to create a website for the city.

Georgetown council to sell water to coal mine
What the village of Homer was unwilling to do, the city of Georgetown has agreed to do. Specifically, city council members approved a contract Monday with Sunrise Coal LLC of Terre Haute to provide, initially, 300,000 gallons of production water a day. After the mine is up and running, the city could boost that supply to 500,000 gallons of water a day.
