DANVILLE — Here’s a look at recent law enforcement calls:

Danville

Thursday:

Disorderly conduct in the 100 block of East Bridge Street.

A man arrested for resisting arrest in the 900 block of Martin Street.

Theft at Burger King, 18 E. West Newell Road.

Friday:

A woman arrested for disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 500 block of Robinson Street.

A man arrested for possession of a controlled substance in the 1500 block of East Williams Street.

Retail theft reported at Walgreen’s, 400 W. Fairchild St.

Vermilion County

Thursday:

A woman arrested for domestic battery in the 300 block of Michigan Street, Westville.

Credit card complaint in the 200 block of West Vermilion Street, Catlin.

A man arrested for domestic battery and home invasion in the 200 block of East 13th Street, Georgetown.

Vehicle damaged in the first block of Arlington Drive.

Theft in the first block of North Prairie Street, Bismarck.

A man arrested for domestic battery in the 500 block of West Mulberry Street, Georgetown.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

Thursday, 3:33 p.m. At Jackson and Seminary streets involving Timothy Maxwell, no age listed, of the 500 block of Brown Road, and Elizabeth Cosat, no age listed, of Danville. Maxwell was cited for failure to yield.

Firefighters responded to the following calls:

Thursday, 8:30-8:41 a.m. A medical call in the 200 block of North California Avenue.

Thursday, 8:41-9 a.m. A medical call in the 1500 block of East Main Street.

Thursday, 9:39 a.m.-4:58 p.m. A house fire at 1658 N. Franklin St.

Thursday, 12:29-12:53 p.m. A carbon monoxide check at 217 Dawn Ave.

Thursday, 4:34-4:46 p.m. A smoking car reported at English and Franklin streets.

Thursday, 10:37-10:44 p.m. A medical call in the 700 block of Sheridan Street.

  • Georgetown council to sell water to coal mine

    What the village of Homer was unwilling to do, the city of Georgetown has agreed to do. Specifically, city council members approved a contract Monday with Sunrise Coal LLC of Terre Haute to provide, initially, 300,000 gallons of production water a day. After the mine is up and running, the city could boost that supply to 500,000 gallons of water a day.
