The 67th annual National Sweetcorn Festival runs through Monday in Hoopeston’s McFerren Park.

Today

5 p.m. — Gates open with $2 admission; display area opens; Midway opens; beer tent opens

6:30 p.m. — National Sweetheart Pageant preliminary round in the Civic Center

7-10 p.m. — raffle

7 p.m. — Truck/tractor pull

Saturday

6 a.m. — Flea market opens

7:30 a.m. — Mile Fun Run/Walk at Honeywell School

8 a.m. — Sweetcorn 5K Run at Honeywell School

8:45 a.m. — Little Corn Eaters Run at Honeywell School

9 a.m. — Gates open, $2 admission

10:30 a.m. — Grand parade

Noon — Midway opens; Rob Thompson Magis Show in the Jaycees Shelter; display area opens; petting zoo

The Westville Lions Club 100th Labor Day Parade and Celebration continues through Monday at Zamberletti Park.

Catlin

The Catlin Lions Club will host its 66th annual Lions Club fish fry/barbecue from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, at the Catlin City Park.

Menu includes an all-you-can-eat fish dinner, barbecue, hot dogs, vegetable and a drink. Ice cream and lemon shake-ups will also be available.

Activities include a cake walk, bingo, inflatables, blue grass music and a tug-of-war competition.

Raffle prizes will be given with a grand prize of $500.

Rossville

The Village of Rossville will have its 33rd annual Labor Day Weekend Street Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday through Monday, Sept. 4-6.

There will be antiques, collectibles, crafts, a flea market, furniture, linens, food concessions and more.
