Danville
Sunday:
Domestic battery in the 700 block of Sheridan Street.
A large stone thrown through a rear van window in the 600 block of Sherman Street.
Monday:
A man arrested for domestic battery in the 1100 block of Fowler Avenue.
A man arrested for possession of cannabis in the 700 block of West Woodbury Street.
Two battery victims reported at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, 812 N. Logan Ave.
Burglary in the 900 block of Chandler Street.
Retail theft at 100 N. Griffin St.
Disorderly conduct at Douglas Park.
Tuesday:
A man arrested for possession of a controlled substance at Main and Oregon streets.
Threats reported in the 1100 block of North Jackson Street.
Vermilion County
Monday:
Theft along County Road 600N, Georgetown.
Domestic dispute at the Vermilion County Courthouse, 7 N. Vermilion St.
A man arrested for criminal trespassing and theft in the 200 block of Wayne Street, Oakwood.
A man arrested for domestic battery in the 500 block of East Main Street, Hoopeston.
Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:
Monday, 10:40 a.m. – At 1035 E. Main St. involving Todd Castleberry, 42, of the 100 block of North California Avenue and John Brown, 65, of Westville. Castleberry was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was taken to Provena United Samaritans Medical Center where he was admitted and in good condition.
Monday, 1:31 p.m. – At 506 N. Gilbert St. involving Grace Davis, 90, of the 3100 block of Woodland Trace, and Trinity Wright, 35, of Danville. Davis was cited for failure to yield.
Monday, 3:39 p.m. – At Fairchild and Jackson streets involving Anthony Owens, 21, of the 900 block of Belton Avenue; Nichole Pezeshki, 19, of Danville; and Joseph Vincent, 50, of Danville. Owens was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Monday, 4:36 p.m. — At County Roads 16047E and 2750N, Bismarck, involving Veronica Johnson, 46, of rural Danville, and Dale Moser, 53, of Hoopeston. Johnson was cited for driving without insurance and failure to yield.
Firefighters responded to the following calls:
Monday, 10:41-10:45 a.m. — A vehicle accident in the 1000 block of East Main Street.
Monday, 10:45-10:56 p.m. — A medical call in the 900 block of Wakely Avenue.
Monday, 10:48-11:17 p.m. — A smoke odor reported at 1020 Robinson St.
Tuesday, 1:28-1:39 a.m. — A medical call in the 900 block of Timberline Drive.
