DANVILLE — Police are still looking for the driver of a stolen vehicle who fled an accident in the 400 block of Kimball Street Wednesday.
Police say the Ford Expedition the man was driving southbound at about 10:45 p.m. crossed the middle line and hit a Buick LeSabre head-on before it rolled over into a fence.
A passenger in the Expedition was extricated and taken by ambulance to Provena United Samaritan’s Medical Center, where he was questioned by police. The witness said he was unaware the vehicle was stolen or how fast the vehicle was traveling when it crashed.
Police are also seeking a hit-and-run driver who damaged a parked vehicle on Lape Street at about 3:20 p.m. Wednesday and fled the scene.
Police ticketed a witness at the scene for providing false information to police, though more information was not immediately available.
