DANVILLE —
The first day for building and shelter rentals at Vermilion County parks is Jan. 2,
Kennekuk County Park, Forest Glen Preserve and Lake Vermilion County Park offer a variety of facilities to the public, which may be reserved for family or class reunions, graduation parties, church and company picnics, group retreats, meetings or any social gathering.
To book these facilities for the 2013 calendar year, call Kennekuk Park (for rentals at Kennekuk and Lake Vermilion) at 442-1691 or Forest Glen (for rentals at Forest Glen) at 662-2142. Reservations may be made from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
Reservations also will be taken in person at the Kennekuk Visitor’s Center and the Forest Glen staff office.
Kennekuk Park offers three enclosed buildings, four open air shelters, a chapel, gazebo and the O’Leary’s Train Car. Forest Glen has three enclosed buildings and two shelters. Lake Vermilion has one shelter.
