Williamsport resident killed in Champaign

STAFF REPORT Commercial-News The Commercial-News Fri Jan 11, 2013, 08:40 PM CST

CHAMPAIGN — Sydni Kay Blackwell, 20, of Williamsport, Ind., died at 12:45 p.m. Friday at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana as a result of a shooting, according to Champaign County Coroner Duane E. Northrup.

A autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.

No other details were released by the coroner’s office.

The death is being investigated by the coroner’s office and Champaign Police Department.
