DANVILLE —
In an effort to minimize the risk of veterans contracting influenza at the Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System, the facility has implemented the following visiting restrictions:
Those who have a cough, congestion, runny nose or fever should not visit until they have not had symptoms for 24 hours.
Those who must visit should ask a staff member for a protection mask to wear during the visit.
Wash hands with soap and water, or use hand gel frequently to stop the spread of germs.
No visitors younger than 18 years old will be permitted.
Those veterans who are enrolled for care at the VA in Danville or at any of the Community-Based Outpatient Clinics and have not already received their flu vaccine can still talk with their Primary Care Team about how they can be vaccinated.
